Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a Graphic Designer (UI/UX, AI & Autonomy) based in Seoul, South Korea. The person will be responsible for all types of web/app/document design work and policy at the team focused on autonomy, aircraft manufacturing, factory digitalization, etc. The work scope might include research and test on design frameworks, human perception, human-computer interaction, etc. This position will report to the Boeing Research and Technology Manager.

Following successful completion of the employment term, employees will be eligible to permanently continue their employment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs UIs for web/app applications that consider various human factors, such as human perception and interaction with interfaces, and complies with aviation safety requirements
  • Maintains the design policy at the team and the research center focused on autonomous flight, aircraft manufacturing, or factory digitalization
  • Works with a principal investigator, a data scientist, a program management specialist, and full-stack engineers to discover design requirements
  • Works as a member of the international team with the members in one or more countries where English is the common language

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Have hands-on design experience in software UI, such as Figma, Photoshop, Sketch, Zeplin, etc., and work processes, such as prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc
  • Understands front-end languages, such as HTML5, CSS3 Javascript, d3.js, etc
  • Have experience working in an agile/scrum development process
  • Requires creativity, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Proper verbal and written English communication skills
  • Possibility of presenting individual design portfolio during the interview (but no need to submit it.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Art, etc
  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Art, etc
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team
  • Good to have hands-on coding experience in frontend languages, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, or other
  • Good to have hands-on experience in developing the data-driven user experience
  • Good to have an intermediate level of knowledge in Responsive Web Programming
  • Good to have hands-on experience in Web publishing based on HTML5 or CSS
  • Good to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge in the Aerospace domain

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years＇ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years＇ related work experience, 10 years＇ related work experience, etc.)
